If you sign up using Google, we receive your name and email address from Google according to your Google account settings.

We store your data using Supabase (powered by PostgreSQL) with industry-standard security measures:

6. Location Data
Location is a core feature of Nera. We collect your precise GPS location to:
- Show you matches within your preferred distance range
- Filter potential matches based on proximity
Important: You cannot manually change your location. This is intentional to prevent location spoofing and ensure authentic local connections. Your exact coordinates are NOT shared with other users - they only see approximate distance.
7. Your Rights and Choices
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Correction: Update your profile information at any time
- Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data through the app settings
- Object: Object to certain data processing activities

8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:
- Your profile is immediately removed from matching
- Your photos are permanently deleted

- Messages may be retained for matched users but anonymized

Nera is not intended for users under 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we discover that a user is under 18, we will immediately delete their account and all associated data.
